Description
This medium-entropy alloy (MEA) with nominal composition Al1 Cu1 Ni1 Ti1 is a body-centered cubic (BCC) dominant with B2 ordered regions alloy system within the multi-principal element alloy research space, incorporating aluminum, copper, nickel, and titanium. Key properties include tunable mechanical properties through compositional adjustment, with combined solid-solution and precipitation strengthening mechanisms; titanium additions promote intermetallic precipitation for additional strengthening. Investigated applications include alloy design research, structural coatings, and specialized functional applications.
