This complex concentrated alloy (CCA) with nominal composition Al0.5 Co1 Cr1 Fe1 Ni1 Ti0.5 is a body-centered cubic (BCC) dominant with B2 ordered regions alloy system within the multi-principal element alloy research space, incorporating Al, Co, Cr and 3 additional elements. Key properties include high hardness (often >500 HV), elevated yield strength, and good oxidation resistance due to Al-enriched B2 ordered phase; titanium additions promote intermetallic precipitation for additional strengthening. Investigated applications include wear-resistant coatings, high-strength structural research, and elevated-temperature applications.
