Description
This complex concentrated alloy (CCA) with nominal composition Co1 Cr1 Cu1 Fe1 Ni1 Ti1 V1 Zr1 is a predominantly face-centered cubic (FCC) austenitic alloy system within the multi-principal element alloy research space, incorporating Co, Cr, Cu and 5 additional elements. Key properties include good strength-ductility balance, high fracture toughness especially at cryogenic temperatures, and moderate corrosion resistance; titanium additions promote intermetallic precipitation for additional strengthening. Investigated applications include cryogenic structural components, alloy design research platforms, and high-entropy coating systems.
