Description
This high-entropy alloy (HEA) with nominal composition Cr1 Cu1 Fe1 Mo1 Ni1 is a predominantly face-centered cubic (FCC) austenitic alloy system within the multi-principal element alloy research space, incorporating Cr, Cu, Fe and 2 additional elements. Key properties include good strength-ductility balance, high fracture toughness especially at cryogenic temperatures, and moderate corrosion resistance; molybdenum/tungsten additions provide enhanced solid-solution strengthening and creep resistance.
