Description
AA 2219 is a high-purity aluminum-copper alloy (5.8–6.8% Cu) with additions of manganese, zirconium, and titanium, known for exceptional performance at both elevated temperatures and cryogenic conditions. It maintains strength and toughness from −270°C to 315°C and is weldable unlike most 2xxx alloys. Primary applications include rocket fuel tanks, aircraft skin, and structural components operating at extreme temperatures.
