This complex concentrated alloy (CCA) with nominal composition Al0.6 Co1 Cr0.333 Fe0.333 Mo0.067 Ni1 is a predominantly face-centered cubic (FCC) austenitic alloy system within the multi-principal element alloy research space, incorporating Al, Co, Cr and 3 additional elements. Key properties include exceptional room-temperature ductility, high work hardening rate, and good corrosion resistance in aggressive media; molybdenum/tungsten additions provide enhanced solid-solution strengthening and creep resistance. Investigated applications include structural components, wear-resistant coatings, and cryogenic applications.
