This high-entropy alloy (HEA) with nominal composition Co0.476 Cr0.476 Fe0.476 Nb0.095 Ni1 is a predominantly face-centered cubic (FCC) austenitic alloy system within the multi-principal element alloy research space, incorporating Co, Cr, Fe and 2 additional elements. Key properties include good strength-ductility balance, high fracture toughness especially at cryogenic temperatures, and moderate corrosion resistance.
