This high-entropy alloy (HEA) with nominal composition Al0.15 Cr0.5 Cu0.25 Fe0.5 Ni1 is a body-centered cubic (BCC) dominant with B2 ordered regions alloy system within the multi-principal element alloy research space, incorporating Al, Cr, Cu and 2 additional elements. Key properties include high hardness (often >500 HV), elevated yield strength, and good oxidation resistance due to Al-enriched B2 ordered phase. Investigated applications include wear-resistant coatings, high-strength structural research, and elevated-temperature applications.
