This complex concentrated alloy (CCA) with nominal composition Al0.667 Co0.667 Cr0.667 Fe0.667 Mo0.333 Ni1 is a body-centered cubic (BCC) dominant with B2 ordered regions alloy system within the multi-principal element alloy research space, incorporating Al, Co, Cr and 3 additional elements. Key properties include high hardness (often >500 HV), elevated yield strength, and good oxidation resistance due to Al-enriched B2 ordered phase; molybdenum/tungsten additions provide enhanced solid-solution strengthening and creep resistance. Investigated applications include wear-resistant coatings, high-strength structural research, and elevated-temperature applications.
