This complex concentrated alloy (CCA) with nominal composition Al1 Cr1 Fe1 Mo0.5 Ni1 Ti0.25 is a predominantly face-centered cubic (FCC) austenitic alloy system within the multi-principal element alloy research space, incorporating Al, Cr, Fe and 3 additional elements. Key properties include exceptional room-temperature ductility, high work hardening rate, and good corrosion resistance in aggressive media; molybdenum/tungsten additions provide enhanced solid-solution strengthening and creep resistance; titanium additions promote intermetallic precipitation for additional strengthening. Investigated applications include structural components, wear-resistant coatings, and cryogenic applications.
