This high-entropy alloy (HEA) with nominal composition Co0.273 Cr0.477 Nb0.477 Ni0.045 Ti1 is a predominantly face-centered cubic (FCC) austenitic alloy system within the multi-principal element alloy research space, incorporating Co, Cr, Nb and 2 additional elements. Key properties include tunable mechanical properties through compositional adjustment, with combined solid-solution and precipitation strengthening mechanisms; titanium additions promote intermetallic precipitation for additional strengthening.
