Description
AA 2060 is an advanced aluminum-copper-lithium alloy developed for aerospace applications, offering improved damage tolerance and corrosion resistance compared to earlier Al-Li alloys. It contains approximately 3.5–4.5% copper and 0.6–1.0% lithium, providing a density reduction of about 4–5% over 2024 with maintained or improved fatigue crack growth resistance. Primary uses include fuselage skin panels, aircraft seat tracks, and airframe structural components.
