Описание
8Cr13MoV steel is made by Chinese stainless steel manufacturers with reference to AUS-8 stainless steel produced by Aichi steel, and its naming method refers to GB/T 20878, GB/T 1220, GB/T 3280 and GB/T 4356 (see notes below). Grade 8Cr13MoV stainless steel belongs to the Cr13 series steel. It increases the carbon content on the basis of 3Cr13 stainless steel, and adds alloying elements such as molybdenum (Mo), vanadium (V) and nickel (Ni) to improve the quenching hardness, wear resistance and toughness. This steel has been used to make high quality knife blades. Compared with 3Cr13 and 5Cr15MoV, 8Cr13MoV steel has higher quenching hardness, but has poor temper softening resistance.
