This medium-entropy alloy (MEA) with nominal composition Al0.053 Cu1 Mn1 Ni1 is a body-centered cubic (BCC) dominant with B2 ordered regions alloy system within the multi-principal element alloy research space, incorporating aluminum, copper, manganese, and nickel. Key properties include high hardness (often >500 HV), elevated yield strength, and good oxidation resistance due to Al-enriched B2 ordered phase. Investigated applications include wear-resistant coatings, high-strength structural research, and elevated-temperature applications.
