This complex concentrated alloy (CCA) with nominal composition Al1 Co0.8 Cr0.8 Fe0.8 Mn0.8 Ni0.8 is a predominantly face-centered cubic (FCC) austenitic alloy system within the multi-principal element alloy research space, incorporating Al, Co, Cr and 3 additional elements. Key properties include exceptional room-temperature ductility, high work hardening rate, and good corrosion resistance in aggressive media. Investigated applications include structural components, wear-resistant coatings, and cryogenic applications.
