This complex concentrated alloy (CCA) with nominal composition C0.1 Co1 Cr1 Fe1 Mn1 Ni1 Ti0.1 is a predominantly face-centered cubic (FCC) austenitic alloy system within the multi-principal element alloy research space, incorporating C, Co, Cr and 4 additional elements. Key properties include good strength-ductility balance, high fracture toughness especially at cryogenic temperatures, and moderate corrosion resistance; titanium additions promote intermetallic precipitation for additional strengthening; carbon additions form MC-type carbides that strengthen grain boundaries. Investigated applications include cryogenic structural components, alloy design research platforms, and high-entropy coating systems.
