Description
AA 5086 is a marine-grade aluminum-magnesium alloy (3.5–4.5% Mg) offering excellent corrosion resistance in seawater and atmospheric environments, positioned between 5052 and 5083 in strength. It is non-heat-treatable and achieves good mechanical properties through cold working, with high weldability. Applications include small boat hulls, ship superstructures, pressure vessels, and other marine structural components.
