Description
AA 6082 is a high-strength structural aluminum-magnesium-silicon-manganese alloy (0.6–1.2% Mg, 0.7–1.3% Si, 0.4–1.0% Mn) widely used in Europe for structural applications, offering higher strength than 6061 in T651 temper plate. The manganese addition refines the grain structure and improves notch toughness. Primary applications include bridges, cranes, offshore platforms, transportation vehicles, and high-strength structural extrusions.
