This high-entropy alloy (HEA) with nominal composition Co0.139 Cr0.446 Cu0.99 Ni1 Si0.277 is a predominantly face-centered cubic (FCC) austenitic alloy system within the multi-principal element alloy research space, incorporating Co, Cr, Cu and 2 additional elements. Key properties include good strength-ductility balance, high fracture toughness especially at cryogenic temperatures, and moderate corrosion resistance.
