T7 tool steel and T7A steel are Chinese tool steel grades, HBW hardness ≤187 (After annealing). After heat treatment (quenching or tempering), T7 tool steel can obtain higher strength and toughness, and corresponding hardness, but low hardenability, quenching deformation, and low heat hardness. T7 tool steel is used for making various tools that withstand impact, vibration load, good toughness, medium hardness and low cutting capacity, such as small size pneumatic tools, chisel and saw for woodworking, stamping, forging die, and fitter tools (hammer head), lathe thimble, drill bit, scissors, etc. Steel delivery state hardness value and sample quenching hardness value
