Family: Aluminum Alloy
Manganese Alloy (Al-Mn). AA designation 3003.
Overview
The most widely used of the aluminium–manganese alloys, AA 3003 carries 1.0–1.5% manganese that lifts strength modestly above pure aluminium while preserving excellent corrosion resistance and workability. Non-heat-treatable, it responds well to cold working and forms readily into complex shapes. That balance of formability and durability suits cooking utensils, heat exchangers, chemical equipment, building products, and food packaging.
